Watkinsville Gutter Solutionists
Gutters for Watkinsville, the Oconee County seat, from Main Street to the farms and subdivisions around it
Watkinsville shows up in records as early as 1791, was incorporated in 1815 and served as the seat of Clarke County until 1872. When Oconee County was formed in 1875, Watkinsville became its seat. Downtown still has a working Main Street, the 1902 old high school that now houses the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation and Rocket Hall, a WPA project from the 1930s. Across ZIP code 30677, the housing spans every era: about 4 percent predates 1940, 13 percent went up in the 1970s, 19 percent in the 1980s and 38 percent since 2000. Older homes near downtown deserve gutters that fit their trim, and on some of them copper gutters can suit the house.
Neighborhoods like Northwest Woods and Harden Hills date from the 1970s and 1980s, while Jennings Mill, Calls Creek and Old Waverly filled in later, many on wooded lots. The NOAA 1991 to 2020 normal at the Watkinsville 1.6 ENE station is 49.56 inches a year, with 16.6 days of an inch or more. June is the wettest month at 5.75 inches, December follows at 5.02, and May is the driest at 3.22. Bigger lots mean longer gutter runs and longer distances for water to travel, and on clay that slopes back toward the house, we often send downspouts into underground drainage.
Josh Bowie owns The Brothers That Just Do Gutters Northeast Atlanta, based in Suwanee, and the same team that handles Athens covers Watkinsville and the rest of Oconee County. Our Solutionists form seamless gutters on the truck to fit every run, clean and flush clogged systems, seal leaking joints, replace soft fascia and install BroGuard and pine needle gutter guards. Estimates cost nothing and come in writing, we never push, and our reviews are posted for anyone to read.

Why the Brothers
Why Watkinsville Homeowners Call the Brothers
Watkinsville averages 16.6 days a year with an inch of rain or more, so we size gutters and downspouts to handle those days.
We fit gutters to older homes near Main Street with care, and we handle long runs on newer houses in Jennings Mill and Old Waverly.
Large lots and sloped clay mean water has room to go wrong. We route downspouts so it moves away from the foundation.
Josh Bowie owns the franchise, and the team that serves Athens covers all of Oconee County. Call (770) 637-5130 for a free written estimate.

Yes. Older homes near Main Street often have original wood trim and fascia, and a leaking gutter will rot it in time. We repair any soft wood first, then form seamless gutters on site to fit the house, with downspouts placed where they look right and still drain well. We can also do copper where the look matters.
June is the wettest month at the Watkinsville 1.6 ENE station, averaging 5.75 inches, and much of that falls in short, heavy storms. If the outlets are partly clogged or a roof valley feeds a 5-inch gutter, water will run over the edge. We clear and test the outlets first, then upsize only the sections where the roof sends more water than the gutter can carry.
On most wooded lots, guards save a lot of ladder time. BroGuard is a fine stainless micro-mesh that keeps leaves and pine needles on top while rain still passes through. Most debris dries and blows off. Under very heavy cover, a light brushing once or twice a year keeps it clear.
Far enough out that the water does not come back. On bigger lots there is usually room to carry water well away from the house, either with longer extensions or with a buried line that lets it out downhill. That keeps the clay near the foundation from staying soaked.
