Lilburn Gutter Solutionists
Gutters for Lilburn, from the 1890 railroad town to the 1970s and 1980s streets around it
The Seaboard Air Line Railway founded Lilburn in 1890 on land then known as McDaniel, naming it after its general superintendent, Lilburn Trigg Myers, and the town incorporated on July 27, 1910. A fire and hard times in the 1920s ended the early boom, and today the Old Town district along Main Street has been rebuilt around a new city hall, library and the Greenway Trail. Lilburn’s housing is older than most of Gwinnett: in ZIP code 30047, 28 percent of homes were built in the 1970s and another 30 percent in the 1980s, in neighborhoods like Hanarry Estates, Stonemont and Cherokee Woods. Many of those houses are on their second or third set of gutters, and near Old Town copper gutters can suit the house.
US 29, Lawrenceville Highway, runs straight through the center of town, and the side streets are lined with mature hardwoods and pines that drop leaves into gutters every fall. Rain is heavy. The NOAA 1991 to 2020 normal at the Norcross station is 56.32 inches a year, with 17.9 days of an inch or more and about four days of two inches or more. November is the wettest month at 5.25 inches, with July close behind at 5.20. On older lots where downspouts were never extended, that water collects along the foundation, so we often tie them into underground drainage.
Josh Bowie owns The Brothers That Just Do Gutters Northeast Atlanta, and our home office in Suwanee sends the same Gwinnett crews to Lilburn that serve Norcross, Duluth and Snellville. Our Solutionists form new seamless gutters on the truck, tear off and haul away old gutters, clean and flush clogged runs, replace rotted fascia and install BroGuard and pine needle gutter guards. Every estimate is free and on paper, there is never a hard sell, and you can read all of our reviews before you call.

Why the Brothers
Why Lilburn Homeowners Call the Brothers
Most Lilburn houses were built before 1990. We replace tired gutters with seamless runs and fix the wood behind them.
Norcross, the nearest full station, averages 17.9 days a year with an inch of rain or more, so we size gutters for those days.
Older lots often have short downspouts that dump at the wall. We extend or bury them so the water clears the foundation.
Josh Bowie owns the franchise, and our home office in Suwanee covers all of Gwinnett. Call (770) 637-5130 to book a free written estimate.

If they are the original sectional gutters, probably. In ZIP code 30047, 28 percent of homes were built in the 1970s, and gutters that old usually leak at every joint, sag between spikes and have rotted the fascia behind them. We replace any soft fascia first, then form one continuous seamless run per side on site, so there are no joints along the straight sections to fail.
November is the wettest month at the Norcross station, averaging 5.25 inches, and it arrives just as the oaks and other hardwoods drop their leaves. Wet leaves mat over the outlet and the gutter fills in minutes. A cleaning in late October or a micro-mesh guard solves most of it. If a big roof valley still overflows when the gutter is clean, we upsize that section.
Under mature trees, usually yes. BroGuard is a fine stainless micro-mesh, so leaves, needles and seed pods stay on top and mostly blow off once they dry. Water still passes through on the heaviest days. A quick brushing once or twice a year keeps the mesh clear.
Yes. On houses where an upper roof drains onto a lower one, the lower gutter can take far more water than its size suggests. We set the slope on each run, add downspouts where a long gutter has only one and, where it helps, pipe the upper gutter down past the lower roof instead of onto it.
