Gainesville Gutter Solutionists
Gutters for Gainesville, from Green Street to the Lake Lanier shore
Gainesville has been the Hall County seat since 1821, and it shows in the housing. Fine homes went up along Green Street starting around 1880, most of them Victorian or Neoclassical Revival, and a half-mile stretch of the street is now a historic district. About four miles south of downtown, Chicopee was laid out in 1925 as a Johnson and Johnson mill village, with 217 homes built from 1927. Across 30501, 30504, 30506 and 30507, about 31 percent of homes were built before 1980 and 3.8 percent before 1940. Big cornices, porches and old wood trim take careful fitting, and on many of these houses copper gutters are the right call.
Then there is the lake. Lake Lanier filled behind Buford Dam after 1956, parts of Gainesville sit along its shore, and much of the city is heavily wooded with oaks, poplars and pines. The NOAA normal at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport is 52.38 inches a year, wettest in January at 4.95, and the airport averages 14.9 days a year with an inch of rain or more. Lake lots and hillside homes off Thompson Bridge Road both slope hard, so we often run downspouts into underground drainage.
Our franchise is owned by Josh Bowie and run from the home office in Suwanee, one of four offices across the territory, so Hall County jobs get the same team as the rest of Northeast Atlanta. Our Solutionists form new gutters on site, cut to every run, clean and flush old systems, seal leaking joints, rebuild soft trim and install BroGuard and pine needle gutter guards. Estimates are free, in writing and pressure free, and we publish every review, good or bad.

Why the Brothers
Why Gainesville Homeowners Call the Brothers
On Green Street and other older Gainesville homes we work around cornices, porches and trim, and fit gutters that suit the house.
Homes on the Lanier shore get guards for the pines and downspout routing that keeps water off steep, sloping yards.
Every month at Lee Gilmer averages at least 3.85 inches, so we size gutters for steady rain from January through December.
Josh Bowie owns the franchise, and the same Northeast Atlanta team covers Hall County. Reach us at (770) 637-5130 for a free written estimate.

Yes. Many Green Street homes date from the 1880s into the early 1900s, with deep cornices, wide porches and original wood trim. We look at the fascia and crown first, replace any rotted wood, and form seamless gutters on site to the exact length of each run so there are fewer seams to leak. Copper often suits these houses. If your home sits in a designated historic district, check any local review requirements before work starts.
On older and high-end homes, often yes. Copper does not rust, lasts for decades and weathers from bright metal to brown and eventually green. It costs more than aluminum, so most owners use it where it shows, on a front elevation or a porch roof. We can price copper and aluminum side by side so you can decide.
A fine stainless micro-mesh like BroGuard. Lake lots around Gainesville tend to sit under pines and hardwoods, and needles slip through coarse screens and plug the outlets. Micro-mesh keeps needles and leaves on top while rain passes through. Plan on a light brush of the surface once or twice a year under heavy pine cover.
On a sloped lot, a downspout that empties at the corner can send water right back along the foundation, and red clay does not absorb it quickly. We first make sure the gutters are clean and pitched toward the outlets, then extend the downspouts or pipe them underground to daylight downhill from the house.
We cover ZIP codes 30501, 30504, 30506 and 30507, including downtown Gainesville, Green Street, the streets around Brenau, Riverside Drive, Thompson Bridge Road, Longstreet Hills, homes along the Lake Lanier shore and the Chicopee area south of town.
