Roswell Gutter Solutionists
Gutters for Roswell’s mill-town core and 1980s neighborhoods
Roswell started as a mill town. Roswell King put a cotton mill on Vickery Creek in the 1830s, and the 120-acre historic district around the town square still holds Bulloch Hall, Barrington Hall and the Old Bricks mill housing, with Canton Street running north from it. Most Roswell roofs are far younger. About a third of the city’s homes were built in the 1980s, and nearly half went up between 1970 and 1989, in east-side neighborhoods like Martin’s Landing and Horseshoe Bend and in the subdivisions strung along Holcomb Bridge Road. That adds up to a lot of original gutters and fascia that have now been working for forty years or more.
The land does the rest. Roswell sits on rolling ground about 1,050 feet up, cut by Vickery Creek, Big Creek and Willeo Creek on their way to the Chattahoochee, which forms the city’s southern edge. Plenty of backyards drop toward one of those creeks, and the loblolly pines, oaks, tulip poplars and sweetgums along them hang right over the roof. Pine straw lands every month, oak catkins mat the trough in spring and the hardwoods let go in November. When a July thunderstorm meets a clogged gutter, the overflow lands in red clay at the foundation, so a Roswell job often calls for pine needle gutter guards up top and red clay downspout drainage down below.
The Brothers That Just Do Gutters Northeast Atlanta is locally owned by Josh Bowie, based in Suwanee with an office in Marietta a short drive from Roswell. Our Solutionists bend new seamless runs out of the truck on site, hand clean the trough and run water through every outlet, rehang sagging sections at a pitch that drains, replace rotted fascia and install BroGuard stainless micro-mesh. Copper is an option on older homes near the town square where it suits the house, and if your project needs the city’s historic review, we put the specs in writing for you. Every estimate is free and itemized, and we publish every review, good or bad.

Why the Brothers
Why Roswell Homeowners Call the Brothers
We walk the yard before placing a downspout, so roof water heads for a safe spot instead of cutting a gully toward the creek or the house.
Many Roswell gutters date to the original build. We tell you plainly whether a repair will hold or the run has earned a replacement.
Loblolly needles beat ordinary screens. Our micro-mesh options stop them on top and still pass a July downpour into the trough.
Josh Bowie runs this franchise from Suwanee, with an office in Marietta nearby. Reach the local team at (770) 637-5130 and we will put a free Roswell estimate in writing.

Not always. Plenty of original Roswell gutters just need new hangers, resealed corners and a corrected pitch. If the runs are rusted at the seams, pulling away from soft fascia in several spots or simply too small for the roof, replacement makes more sense. A Solutionist walks the whole roofline and gives you a written estimate, with both options priced when both are reasonable.
Start by moving the water farther from the house. Clay this dense takes in very little during a downpour, so runoff dropped beside the foundation splashes orange up the brick and wears a trench in the bed. Depending on the grade, the answer might be an extended outlet, a splash block with a rock apron or a buried pipe that daylights on the low side of the lot. On Roswell lots that fall toward a creek, we plan the route with you on site.
Fine micro-mesh will. Loblolly needles are long and thin, so they slip through screens and the larger holes in many covers, then stand up in the trough and catch everything else. BroGuard and our pine needle mesh have openings small enough to stop them at the surface while rain passes through. Wooded Roswell lots still benefit from an occasional rinse of the mesh.
Yes. Homes near the town square and Canton Street often have deep eaves and wood trim that needs repair before new gutters go up. We can offer copper or colored aluminum that suits the house, and if your project goes through the city’s historic review, we provide written specs covering the profile, material and downspout locations for your application.
